Also known as a diaper cake, a baby cake is non-edible. It includes a variety of different essentials needed for any baby- such as blankets, pacifiers and bottles, but most importantly diapers! We call it a “cake” because it is shaped just like the edible cakes most people know and love. Except these cakes are just for babies! It is the perfect item for any new or expecting mother!
While each baby cake is unique, there are a few set ingredients. I only use Premium Pampers Swaddlers. On my 5 tier option, I also use size 3 Pampers Cruisers or Pampers Baby-Dry, along with the Pampers Swaddlers.
Ingredients vary by availability, size and any theme you have selected; however typically I will use Avent pacifiers, Evenflo baby bottles, Aveeno, Johnsons or Huggies bath products, Carters clothing items and a plush toy. Beautiful Baby Cakes will not place any item in a baby cake that is not high quality. Quality is our number one priority.
Of course not! Beautiful Baby Cakes allows you the chance to further customize your gift, if you have a theme that has been selected for the baby shower or nursery. If a theme isn’t available, but specific colors are, I will happily create your baby cake with those colors in mind. If you don’t know the theme or sex I can still create a neutral cake for mom and baby.
This varies. Keep in mind that each baby cake is hand made upon receipt of payment. While many items are kept on hand, it may be necessary to purchase items to complete your baby cake. However, every step is taken to make sure your baby cake is ready when you need it. Each baby cake is made in the order that I receive your order and money- including the $25.00 expedited delivery charge, if applicable.
If you live in the San Francisco bay area, I can have your baby cake ready within one to two weeks. It is possible that it is finished within three days; however, this time depends on any backlog I may be experiencing.
If you will need your baby cake to be shipped, please keep in mind the 2 week time frame does not include any time for shipping. If you need your baby cake to arrive by a certain date and time, please indicate that when filling out your order. Currently, there is a $25.00 service charge for expedited orders, not including any rush shipping charges that may be incurred by shipping with UPS. All packages are shipped via UPS Ground and are guaranteed to arrive one week from the shipment date.
So, on average, most baby cakes are ready within 2-3 weeks.
Beautiful Baby Cakes is based in Emeryville, California. All baby cakes leave from Emeryville, and are proudly packed and shipped through UPS.
Each Beautiful Baby Cakes product page has a separate set of buttons specifically for whose who wish to pick up their order. You will receive an email invoice documenting receipt of your order and requesting payment. Your order will not be processed until confirmation of your payment has been received via paypal. Within 48 hours, you will receive contact from Beautiful Baby Cakes to schedule a time and place for pickup.
On every Beautiful Baby Cakes product page, there is a set of buttons for those who wish to expedite the shipping on their orders. With this option, shipping takes three days instead of the standard seven. Should you need overnight shipping, please contact Beautiful Baby Cakes via e-mail.
Yes! Beautiful Baby Cakes has successfully shipped to Canada and we will happily ship a baby cake to any country served by UPS. Please keep in mind that international shipments will incur higher shipping fees and slower delivery times than traditional Unites States shipments. Please allow additional time for you baby cake to arrive at its destination and remember it must be checked through customs.
Absolutely! If you are in the San Francisco bay area and are willing to pick up your baby cake, just call to schedule a time for pick-up. The $10 delivery fee will also be waived.
Because beautiful baby cakes are customized to you and the baby you are giving the gift to, it is obviously hard to give it to someone else.

If local pickup is requested, cash, cashier check or money order payments are accepted. Only under special circumstances, which will be determined by me, will I take a check. A $15.00 returned check fee will be assessed to any check written that is not valid.

Online payment options are available through paypal. Paypal allows me to accept Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover, electronic checks, bank transfers and paypal balances. A paypal account is not required to pay via paypal. However, if you would like to create an online secure account, please visit www.paypal.com.
I am aware of the concerns many of you have regarding the protection of your credit and banking information. We ask you to protect yourselves while shopping online and disregard emails asking for any of your personal account information from scammers.
